Diet and exercise are an essential part of staying healthy. You need to eat well so that your heart and other organs all do what they are meant to do to keep your body functioning.
The good news is that it's never been easier to get your hands on good, healthy food at a reasonable price. Fruit and vegetables are sold in all shops - even fast food outlets now offer a healthy alternative to burger and chips.
Most of us eat far too much and most of us eat things that just aren't good for us. You should eat 5 portions or fruit and veg a day and you should try and eat freshly prepared food rather than processed, as most ready meals contain lots of hidden fats and sugars.
